Pay a professional to create your logo; it will be your identity for a long, long time. Do it the right way and retain professional services. Do not use your neighbor’s, brother’s Aunt that leaves in Idaho; eventually you will regret it. When engaging a professional design service request an eps file, or a Vector file. (If they do not know what you mean– then you should not be using them.) Also when choosing a logo, imagine how it will look in different orientations. You may want the designer to create a landscape and portrait version. As well as, a black and white version, maybe a low resolution file for web needs and a high resolution for your printing needs. Last but not least, request all your files on a CD or thumb drive. Do not count on always knowing where your Designer is and how to track them down.
